श्रीलंका 'ए' और अफगानिस्तान 'ए' के खिलाफ आयोजित त्रिकोणीय (ट्राई-सीरीज) वनडे सीरीज के पहले मुकाबले में इंडिया 'ए' की शुरुआत बेहद खराब रही है। डंबुला के रंगिरी डंबुला इंटरनेशनल स्टेडियम में मंगलवार, 9 जून को खेले जा रहे इस मैच में इंडिया 'ए' के कप्तान ने टॉस जीतकर पहले बल्लेबाजी करने का फैसला किया। पहले बल्लेबाजी के फैसले के बाद मैदान पर मौजूद तमाम फैंस और क्रिकेट पंडितों की नजरें 15 साल के युवा सनसनी वैभव सूर्यवंशी पर टिकी थीं। हालांकि, आईपीएल 2026 में राजस्थान रॉयल्स (RR) के लिए रनों का अंबार लगाने वाले वैभव इस मैच में अपनी छाप छोड़ने में नाकाम रहे और बेहद सस्ते में आउट होकर पवेलियन लौट गए।
कई लोग उम्मीद कर रहे थे कि वह इंडिया A के लिए भी बड़ा स्कोर बनाएंगे, लेकिन फैंस को निराशा हुई क्योंकि वैभव आक्रामक खेलने की कोशिश में 12 गेंदों पर 14 रन बनाकर आउट हो गए। वैभव को मोहम्मद शिराज़ ने आउट किया और सहन अराचिगे ने आसान कैच पकड़ा।
इंडिया ने 16 रन के स्कोर पर अपना पहला विकेट गंवाया, जिसमें वैभव सूर्यवंशी 14 रन बनाकर आउट हुए। इसके बाद स्थिति और खराब हो गई जब प्रभसिमरन सिंह, जिनका IPL सीज़न उतार-चढ़ाव भरा रहा था, दो रन पर आउट हो गए और इंडिया A का स्कोर बहुत जल्दी 16-2 हो गया।
वैभव सूर्यवंशी IPL 2026 में शानदार रहे
वैभव सूर्यवंशी की बात करें तो, 15 साल के इस खिलाड़ी ने राजस्थान रॉयल्स के लिए अपना पहला पूरा IPL सीज़न खेला। यह युवा खिलाड़ी दुनिया भर के क्रिकेट फैंस के बीच चर्चा का विषय बन गया, क्योंकि वह टूर्नामेंट के इतिहास में IPL ऑरेंज कैप जीतने वाले सबसे कम उम्र के खिलाड़ी बने।
RR के लिए खेली गई 16 पारियों में वैभव ने 776 रन बनाए, जिसमें उनका औसत 48.5 और स्ट्राइक रेट 237.3 रहा। उन्होंने पांच अर्धशतक और एक शतक भी लगाया। एलिमिनेटर मैच में सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद के खिलाफ़ उनका प्रदर्शन शानदार रहा।
SRH के खिलाफ़ 97 रन बनाकर वैभव ने RR को टूर्नामेंट के क्वालिफायर 2 में पहुँचाया। क्वालिफ़ायर 2 में GT के ख़िलाफ़ खेलते हुए वैभव ने 96 रन बनाए, लेकिन उनकी इस पारी के बावजूद रॉयल्स मैच हार गए और टूर्नामेंट से बाहर हो गए।
